Investment Philosophy

Investment Philosophyفلسفة الاستثمار

Our investment philosophy is built on three mutually reinforcing pillars that differentiate Al Amal's equity approach in the GCC institutional market.

01

Long-Term Orientation

التوجه طويل الأمد

We invest with a 5–10 year investment horizon, avoiding short-term market noise and speculative positioning. Our portfolio turnover is deliberately low, reflecting conviction-based, research-backed position building.

Target holding period: 5–10 years | Low portfolio turnover | Conviction-weighted positions

02

Fundamental Research

البحث الأساسي

Bottom-up, research-driven security selection combined with top-down macroeconomic analysis. Our team conducts direct company engagement, on-site visits, and proprietary financial modeling for every GCC equity position.

03

Shari'a Integration

التكامل الشرعي

Every equity is independently screened for Shari'a compliance before inclusion in any portfolio. Our Shari'a Supervisory Board conducts quarterly reviews and issues annual compliance certificates for each strategy.

Independent Shari'a Supervisory Board | Quarterly screening | Annual compliance certificates

Shari'a Framework

Shari'a-Compliant Equity Screening

فحص الأسهم المتوافقة مع الشريعة الإسلامية

All equity investments managed by Al Amal are screened in strict accordance with Islamic Shari'a principles, overseen by our independent Shari'a Supervisory Board. Our framework categorically prohibits interest-based (riba) income, speculative (gharar) activities, and investment in non-compliant sectors.

The Shari'a Supervisory Board conducts independent quarterly reviews of all equity portfolios and issues formal compliance opinions to unitholders and institutional partners. All screening methodologies are aligned with the standards of the Accounting and Auditing Organisation for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI).
